Judo classes in South Australia

Judo

Created by Professor Jigaro Kano in 1882, Judo is a grappling based  Japanese martial art utilising explosive throws, strong holds and dynamic submissions.

Judo has been a staple of the Olympic Games since 1964.  The aim of competitive Judo is to achieve 'Ippon', which can be achieved by throwing an opponent on their back with force, through ground pins or submissions.

Our Judo program is the largest in the state.  Lead by the most experienced Judo coaches, we focus on teaching complex techniques in a way they can be understood - but never compromising on attention to detail.  We offer classes in both kids and adults Judo.

Our Judo program is led by Judo Olympian Steve Brown and Commonwealth Games Medallist Amy Meyer.
