Brazilian Jiujitsu (BJJ)

Adelaide BJJ Club

BJJ is a Brazilian grappling art which evolved in the 1920's when Carlos and Hélio Gracie learnt the Japanese art of Judo from travelling Judoka Mitsuyo Maeda.

Jiujitsu is predominately a ground based martial art, with the objective to achieve dominate positions against your opponent, with the aim to submit them via stangle or joint lock.

Led by head coach Pedro Silva Gonçalves, we offer authentic Brazilian Jiujitsu in Adelaide with a  program including classes in both the gi and no gi that uses the skills of Jiujitsu to help students develop both effective self defence and successful sport Jiujitsu techniques.

Brazilian Jiujitsu classes are currently held for teens and adults Monday 6pm (gi), Tuesday 6pm (gi), Thursday 6pm (no gi), Friday 5pm (open mat) and Saturday 9am (no gi)
